Just Another Music Monday: Troubled Tuesday Edition

I know it’s Tuesday, but this past weekend my laptop of three years, my baby, died and I haven’t been able to do much other than work. I’ve been working everyday, I have no time to celebrate the holiday season or prepare – and I’ve been trying. You know that time management thing people are always talking about? I’m actually doing it. But it’s not easy, and I’m missing my alone time.

So without further ado, here are some wintry-feeling songs to reflect my melancholic mood this Tuesday.

Tori Amos – “Winter”

The Cinematic Orchestra – “To Build a Home”

Israel Kamakawiwo’ole – “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”

Chantal Kreviazuk – “All I Can Do” (I was going to recommend “Waiting for the Sun” but somehow I can’t find it on Youtube!?! So have a different dose of this talent)

Nico – “These Days”

Birdy – “Skinny Love” (my preferred version)

And I may have recommended this one before, but I don’t care; give it another go too:

Sigur Ros – “Isjaki”

Happy Tuesday.

Just Another Music Monday

“Paint” by The Paper Kites

See where I am is where I’m wanting to be,
I know what I need, know what I need
And there are many different places to see
I know how to dream, know how to dream
Still there’s a wound and I’m moving slow
Though it don’t show, though it don’t show
I’ve got a hole where nothing grows,
How little you know little you know

“Isjaki” by Sigur Ros

“Born at the Right Time” by Dappled Cities

We never had to fight
for the world we would’ve liked
The war’s already won
I guess I was just born at the right time

“In the Middle of the Night” by Chloe Foy

“Spaceship” by Miss Li

So, have you heard the news today?
If you listen closely, you’ll hear his heart break.
Cause in the psycho world of Eden,
this is the version where she is the snake.

“Little Letters” by Paper Aeroplanes
